To that aim, we're always excited to introduce new products for people to try on their jobsites. Today, we're happy to be bringing Sheltex-14 MAX adhesive felt to our product line. 

Sheltex-14 is a soft, fiber-based adhesive surface protection designed with a wide array of finishes and applications in mind. With its adhesive base layer, Sheltex-14 can be applied to finishes vertically, as well as used to securely remain in place horizontally on floors and countertops. Because of this versatility, Sheltex-14 can even be used on stairs - one of the trickiest interior finishes to protect. 

So far we've seen Sheltex-14 used in elevator cabs, secured around handrails, on stairs, covering furniture and other wood fixtures, and as a soft, secure hardwood floor protection. Because it can easily be cut to specific size, Sheltex can be used for specialized applications such as custom tubs/showerpans and on high-end stainless steel furnishings.  

Each roll is 39" wide and 82' long, totaling 267 square feet per roll. Sheltex is available individually on our website, or by the pallet of 15 via custom quote.

New ZipDoor Magnetic Door Kits Now Available

 ZipDoors have long been the easiest to use entry solution for interior dust control. Standard ZipDoors feature a tried and true zipper system for sealing the doorway. While popular, the drawback to this system is that you need a free hand to operate the zippers on the door panel. 

Now, ZipWall has created a new ZipDoor Magnetic Kit, which is easier to use than ever before.

 

 

These new kits include one main door panel with inlaid magnets measuring 48" x 87", three rolls of double sided tape for installation and integration with other dust control products, and one sheeting cutter for seamless install. 

The ZipDoor can be used in conjunction with other dust control products such as plastic sheeting or Zip Poles (as pictured above), or it can be used on its own to completely seal entryways. Renovate Right Brochures Now Available

In recent years it has become extremely difficult to find printed copies of the EPA's Renovate Right information. Fortunately, we have just printed a large run of these brochures - available here on our website.

 

Homes built before 1978 are all presumed to have lead paint in them, and must be treated as such. To this end, the EPA has materials and mandatory steps that must be taken when working in homes built on or before that year. Those rules apply to renovation, paint removal, and even some basic repair activities. This information is to be available on jobsites where applicable work is occurring - and is all available in these pamphlets.

New Product - Wedge It Temporary Doorstops

The latest product that we are excited to be distributing is the Wedge-It temporary doorstop. Small, portable, and reusable, Wedge-It doorstops are the quickest and most versatile way to prop doors open. 

Wedge-It doorstops can function in any of three ways. They can be laid on the ground and act as a traditional doorstop on the floor, they can be placed on top of a hinge and prop the door open that way, or they can be shimmed on top of the door to keep it open at the desired width. This variability allows builders to use the doorstop solution best suited to their project. 

Thermoplastic rubber padding on each unit prevents sliding when the Wedge-It is in use on the floor, and prevents any finish/paint damage when used against the top of the door or against the doorjamb. The recycled plastic makeup of Wedge-It ensures that it will remain usable indefinitely. 

The standard color is a safety yellow, however there are green, pink, and orange available with minimum order quantities of 25. All Wedge-It units are brightly colored to ensure that nobody attempts to close the door with Wedge-It in use.

Trimaco AquaShield Floor Protection Available Now

We're always looking out for new products to add to our lines, and today we have done just that by adding Trimaco's AquaShield floor protection. Waterproof, fire resistant, and reusable, AquaShield is an ideal surface protection for concrete slabs. 

AquaShield comes standard as a certified flame resistant material. Flame-resistant AquaShield is the ideal choice for hospitals, laboratories, and other environments with stringent fire prevention measures. 

AquaShield is available in three thicknesses to suit your project's needs. The 10 mil AquaShield is the lightest and easiest to transport and cut into place, making it great around stairs and other light-use areas where heavy machinery and equipment won't be used. Next, 25 mil AquaShield is the most commonly used one. It can hold up to use by forklifts and most normal equipment on commercial jobsites. If you need heaps of damage protection, then the thick 40 mil will stand up to just about anything. 

In addition to the features listed above, AquaShield is UV-resistant, meaning that it holds up outside. This allows it to be reused, making it economical over time. Furthermore, it features an embedded diamond plate pattern, making it slip resistant when used to cover flooring, and being walked on.

Fight Coronavirus and Disinfect Your Workplace With Our New Electrostatic Sprayers

We have just received delivery of our new Electrostatic Disinfectant Sprayers. These units are the quickest, easiest, and most efficient way to sanitize and disinfect common spaces. Ideal for retail outlets, restaurants, and construction jobsites, Electrostatic Sprayers are becoming a mainstay for business across the country dealing with Coronavirus.

Electrostatic Disinfectant/Virucidal Sprayers are backpack mounted, battery operated units that dispense disinfectant solutions onto indoor and outdoor surfaces. Each unit can hold up to 2.25 gallons of solution, which can cover 23,000 sqft of indoor space. Battery packs allow for up to four hours of runtime per charge, and each unit includes all of the necessary accessories for operation.

These sprayers are compatible with any water-based solution. We recommend Shockwave RTU - a water based formulation that arrives pre-diluted for easy use.

Electrostatic Sprayers differ from traditional pump sprayers in that they apply electric charges to the particles of solution as they are dispensed from the sprayer. This allows the charged particles in the solution to quickly attach to surfaces that its sprayed on, and it leads to an even distribution of disinfectant/virucide on surfaces.

Coronavirus Jobsite Posters Now Available - Full Suite of Covid-19 Building Supplies

Builders have been considered an essential business since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic, and their product needs have been changing and adapting all along. Everything from additional hand sanitizer and washing stations to daily safety meetings and checklists have been required. In that same vein, as more builders begin to restart operations, they will be in need of Covid-19 supplies for the first time. New and Improved DoorGuard Plus In Stock and Easier Than Ever to Ship

Our new DoorGuard Plus features a new two-fold perforation system that now allows us to ship DoorGuard plus in smaller quantities and via UPS Ground shipping. This will allow customers to order DoorGuard Plus in bundles of up to four, and as few as two.

DoorGuard Plus is a larger version of our popular product DoorGuard. Designed for hospitals, commercial projects, and other projects featuring wide doors, DoorGuard Plus can protect doors up to 48" wide. Featuring perforations for door hardware and attachment bands, DoorGuard Plus is the only XL sized door protection on the market. DoorGuard Plus can be ordered in widths from 3'4" wide to 4' wide. DoorGuard Plus can be ordered in heights of 8' and 7'.

Previously DoorGuard Plus was only available for will-call pickup, direct palletized shipping from the manufacturing facility, or palletized shipment from our warehouse. These methods meant DoorGuard Plus wasn't feasible to order in small quantities. However with the new and improved DoorGuard Plus we can ship small quantities ordered via our website.

Note that the minimum order quantity for the new and easy to ship DoorGuard Plus is two; this ensures that the bundle of DoorGuard can be shipped without being bent and mangled in transit.

Trimaco Floor Protection Now Available Online

Our website now features a few new products. We've been adding Trimaco's popular products to our line, and have now expanded our floor protection offerings with X-Board, FloorShell, and SuperTuff Mats.

FloorShell and X-Board are comparable products to RamBoard and RamBoard's Painter's Board fiber based floor protection rolls. X-Board is a 35" x 100' roll of floor protection designed to be lighter weight than RamBoard and FloorShell, but stronger than builders paper. It is a breathable surface protection product, and it is very easy to cut to size and to bend around surfaces. FloorShell is a thicker and stronger paper based floor protection. It's 45 mils thick and is offered in 38" x 100' rolls.

SuperTuff Protective Mats are heavy duty slip resistant mats designed to repel spills and other common jobsite contaminants. SuperTuff Mats are a fabric based absorbent material that are also slip resistant, making them safe to walk on and ensuring builders don't have to rely on taping them down. Each mat is 3' x 6' long, 18 square feet in total.

All of these products are now in stock and ready to ship same day from our warehouse in Oregon. Trimaco also manages a number of warehouses around the country, so it's possible that some products can be shipped from locations close to your jobsite.

Here at Builders Site Protectrion, we're always looking out for new products to carry. In that vain we have now added Trimaco's SuperTuff protective mats to our catalog. These 3' x 6' mats are slip-resistant, absorbent, and leak-proof versatile surface protection mats.

SuperTuff mats are both absorbent and leak-proof, so preventing motor oil from staining concrete has been an ideal solution for them. Builders Site Protection Now Distributing VersiShield and StringerShield Guardrails

We are excited to announce that we have added Safety Maker's new VersiShield and StringerShield to our ever-growing catalog of surface and jobsite protection products. Both of these Safety Maker items provide a reusable base to quickly erect OSHA-compliant guardrail systems for residential and commercial stairs under construction.

VersiShield clamping system

VersiShield is an easily adjustable clamp to quickly build stair rails. The base of VersiShield swivels, allowing it to be mounted below the stair tread, as the top of the system is fixed in place on the stair tread itself. Using a bolt VersiShield becomes clamped in place, allowing a 2x4 based guardrail to be quickly placed into the system. VersiShield is OSHA compliant and saves builders money due to its quick installation and it re-usability. 

StringerShield stringer clamp system

StringerShield is a simpler rail system for use on pan stairs. It is a non-adjustable clamp that attaches to open stringer stairs. StringerShield is compatible with various sizes of stringers to create an OSHA certified rail system. Like VersiShield, StringerShield is built to allow standard 2x4 pieces to quickly erect the rail system. 

Both of these products are sold by the single unit. Furthermore, both units are reusable, ensuring that builders save money in the long run. Over the years we have had a number of builders and contractors ask us about adding a Blue Vinyl tape to our product line, and now we finally have.

Our new 6" tape is ideal for use on metal trim, thresholds, curtain wall components, and other custom shaped metal pieces. Each roll measures 6" x 108' feet, and is available in either single rolls, or discounted cases of 8 rolls.

Blue vinyl tape features UV blocking compounds, ensuring that after weeks of use it can still be cleanly removed from metal in one piece. Each roll of the tape is $15.95.

While Blue Vinyl Tape is rated for weeks of use, it is not quite as strong as our UV Threshold Tape, which can withstand 6 continuous months of sun exposure.

RamBoard Stair Armor Now In Stock

Stair protection is now in stock and available from Builders Site Protection. RamBoard Stair Armor is the newest stair protection brought to market, and it's both affordable and easy to use. Stair Armor features indentations that easily fold into place and is held down by masking tape.

Available by the case or in packs of six, Stair Armor can accommodate and project, large or small. Stair Armor is 34" wide and features an adjustable guard that can work with any size toe-kick. This stair protection features a padding on the bottom to ensure that nothing trapped under the Stair Armor can scratch stairs.

Stair Armor also shares many features with RamBoard. Like RamBoard, Stair Armor is made from a paper-based board material, and it features a spill guard which prevents against light water damage. It is non-staining and fully recyclable; effectively RamBoard for stairs.

We are excited to introduce our latest product offering, new 6" Protecta-Foam. A variation of our existing popular Protecta-Foam product line, 6" Protecta-Foam is a great surface protection solution for door and floor trim, specialty cabinet components, tubs, aluminum surfaces, and many other interior finishes. Protecta-Foam adheres to finishes with a safe adhesive designed to stay in place, but not to transfer any adhesive. At the end of its use, Protecta-Foam cleanly peels off in one sheet.

We are pleased to announce that we now carry Tape Applicators for use with floor protection. Tape Applicators are a great way to hasten the installation of floor protection. Reusable and easy to use, Tape Applicators are something our customers have asked us about for years. 

Tape Applicators can dramatically speed up the installation time of floor protection. Products such as RamBoard, CoverGuard, and Corrugated Plastic Sheets can all be quickly laid down and taped together using a Tape Applicator. Our new tape applicators work with any tapes up to 4" wide. This means that applicators work with standard packing tape, Red Polyethylene Tape, Ram Board Vapor Cure Tape, Ram Board Seam Tape, and nearly every other tape we sell.

Each reusable Tape Applicator is $179.99, and can be reused for a variety of protection on numerous projects.

In addition to Tape Applicators, we also offer Film Applicators in an array of sizes. The quickest way to apply carpet films, we offer applicators in 24", 30", 36", and 48" widths, which together handle every size of standard carpet film on the market. In much the same way as tape applicators, film applicators reduce the installation time of carpet films by applying them as they are pushed along, removing the need for manually pulling the film and applying it by hand.

New Product - Ram Board Multi-Cutter

The latest addition to our product line, the Multi-Cutter, is the ideal tool for cutting floor protection to size. Made by RamBoard, the Multi-Cutter is specially designed to speed up floor protection installation. 

Featuring a two-sided blade, Multi-Cutter hooks behind floor protection and slides through it with ease. Multi-Cutter includes four blades which are magnetically stored inside of the handle. Additionally, Multi-Cutter features plastic stoppers that prevent the tool from scratching the floor or surface below.

While initially made for cutting RamBoard, Multi-Cutter can be used on any number of other floor protection and construction materials. Surface Liner Vapor, Clean & Safe, Carpet, Poly Sheeting, Rosin Paper, Roofing Felt, and many more commonplace material can be easily cut to size with the Multi-Cutter.
