US Construction Industry at Highest Level Since 2009
The construction industry continues to improve as the economy slowly regains steam after the Great Recession. According to a new study, construction spending was up to $830 billion - the highest level since December of 2009. That is a 7% improvement over last year and a 0.9% increase in spending since April 2012. Non-residential projects are still slightly stronger than residential, but the gap is closing as home building starts to pick up speed again. Here in San Diego, Builders Site Protection is pleased to note that residential construction is beginning to show signs of life as projects that have been on hold for years start back up. How is construction faring in your area? Have you noticed any improvement in your local construction economy? Let us know!

Builders Site Protection Bikes to Work!
This past Friday May 18th was San Diego Bike to Work Day, and Builders Site Protection is proud to announce that we had a 100% participation rate! The entire office staff got together to promote bicycling as a healthy and an environmentally-friendly alternative to driving. The office staff biked a total of 22 miles for the commute and stopped at several of the sponsored pit stops to pick up snacks, free gear, and T-shirts. The gals at Builders Site Protection are proud to support bicycle commuting and stand in solidarity with those in San Diego county who want safer, more extensive bike paths.
