CALGreen California Green Building Code Effective January 1, 2011

Attention California builders and contractors! California’s aggressive green building initiative became effective on January 1st and requires all new construction projects to adhere to mandatory guidelines on issues ranging from water efficiency to indoor air quality. All areas of the construction industry from architects to developers are responsible for complying with the new guidelines. Both commercial and residential construction projects must meet Code requirements. The CALGreen Building Standard is the first state-wide green building code in the nation.
