Window Film is a 24" x 600' of blue tinted film. Designed to withstand direct sunlight and use for 180 days, Window Film is a popular window protection solution for project in spring and summer. Whereas standard films degrade over time and in direct sunlight, Window Film 180 blocks UV damage, allowing it to remain on outdoor windows for 180 days without cracking or adhesive transfer.

Another popular window surface protection product is WindOcoat. WindOcoat is a paint/spray on application that forms a solid plastic membrane over windows and surrounding surfaces. Available in 1 gallon or 5 gallon buckets,each gallon of WindOcoat covers 200sqft or glass and/or paneling. Rated for 365 day use, WindOcoat peels off in one clean sheet at project's end, leaving behind clean and scratch free glass. Protecting Curtain Walls

We have been receiving much recent interest about keeping curtain walls damage-free. Because curtain walls are installed relatively early in the construction process, they lie at a huge risk of being damaged. To combat this, we've created a new page on our website devoted to curtain wall surface protection.

We just had large edge protection specifically manufactured for window mullions, edges, and window frames. We also feature corrugated plastic sheeting, films, and anything else you might need to keep these expensive walls clean.

Selection parameters for short-term surface protection

When identifying solutions for short-term surface protection, some or all of the following five parameters should be considered:

1. Time: How long will temporary surface protection be adhered to the product? Typical times can range from one hour to years.
2. Temperature: What will the exposure temperature be? For example, in Phoenix or Texas, extremely hot temperatures can be common and tends to soften any adhesive films. Also, will the product be exposed to cold temperatures during shipping or storage?  Paint or spray on liquid protection for tubs or windows are both cold sensitive.
3. Temperature exposure: What will the duration of temperature exposure be? 
4. Substrate: Is the substrate that will be protected metal, wood, plastic, glass or other material?
5. Conditions: What conditions will the product be exposed to, for instance, salt in coastal environments high humidity, or ultraviolet exposure from sunlight, fluorescent light or other sources?
